
100 teams from 24 different Secondary Schools have been battling it out on a weekly basis since May to find out who will reign supreme in 2019.
Senior Girls Division 1
Napier GHS Senior Dark Blue vs Napier GHS Senior Light Blue

After finishing 9th at the 2018 National Secondary School Championships, the Napier GHS Basketball Programme has gone from strength to strength where they have fielded two even teams both capable on making the Hawke's Bay Secondary School finals. Main rivals Hastings GHS will have an eye towards a healthy and sustainable programme in 2020 and beyond. Dark Blue and Light Blue have split their regular season encounters this year; so the final will be a goodie.
Junior Boys Division 1
Hastings BHS Junior A vs Napier BHS Junior A

It's a traditional Akina vs Sky Blue clash in the Junior Boys finals after both teams got through their respective semi-final tests against Hastings BHS Year 9's and Taradale High School. Denim Tuala-Fata, Tzar Smiler and Rongo Maaka shape up as the biggest threats for Hastings; and Ihaia Abbott, Hawaiki Pollock and Laker Brown for Napier BHS. This could be anyone's game!
Junior Girls Division 1
Hastings GHS Junior A vs Napier GHS Junior A

Kahlia Awa, Raedeen Blake and Hastings Girls side will be favoured to defend their junior girls title after defeating Napier Girls several times during the regular season. However Madison Cunningham, Aliyah King and the Napier Juniors have closed the winning margin each time they have played, and the final is the count that counts! Get along to see whether it will be Akina or Sky Blue in the Junior Girls.
Senior Boys Division 2
Napier BHS Junior A vs Flaxmere College Senior A

Flaxmere Head Boy and star player Elliot Edwards leads Flaxmere into battle against a talented Napier BHS Junior A team that has competed against older heads for experience as a prelude to the Zone 3 Junior Secondary School Championships in two weeks time. Both teams had close games in their semi-finals against Hastings BHS Junior A & Lindisfarne College Senior A who provided competition throughout the year. This could go either way!
Senior Girls Division 2
Taradale HS Senior Yellow vs Hukarere Tuakana
Sat 24th August, 12.00pm, PGA
Taradale have only dropped one game this season in their quest to defend their Division 2 crown won in 2018, but that game was to Hukarere 44-37 in the opening game of the season back in May. But it was 37-19 to Taradale just a few weeks ago when the teams played for a second time. With both teams having one a game each this year, the final shapes up to be the decider.
