Summer League Recap - Jan 15

Men's Division 1
Toro Atu's top four chances were dealt a blow by a young Misfits squad in the game of the week. Clifton Bush III was once again the key player for Misfits as he finished with 34 points. It was Toro Atu with a slim first quarter lead on the back of scoring bursts from Ravi Mani & Joshua Anderson, but Misfits still took a 52-44 lead into the half. Toro Atu only had 12 in the third quarter which saw Misfits take the lead to 78-56 as they went on to take a decisive 104-83 victory.

In other action, multiple-time former champions Akina attempted to take on hot favourites Texans. Texans held a 57-47 lead coming into half time thanks to a very balanced scoring effort across the board. The Texans star power proved too much as they  extended the lead to 18 with one quarter to go before taking the spoils of victory. Kings defeated CHB Volts in the other game while Shai had the BYE.
